BMW is going green at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show with the launch of the 225xe and 330e plug-in hybrids, but the Bavarians are spilling the beans about them early. The models are the latest to use Bimmer's eDrive tech that's derived from the i3 and i8.
The modular system allows the automaker to roll out PHEVs through its range. For the new 225xe, eDrive makes for an all-wheel drive, PHEV.
BMW is the latest automaker to be celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. So to mark the occasion, the Bavarian automaker is rolling out a special anniversary edition of its flagship 7 Series sedan. Somewhat awkwardly labeled as the BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS, the celebratory edition features a number of special touches to set it apart. The bodywork is painstakingly. Recent concepts like the Vision Next 100 have signaled BMW's plan to become a leader in automotive tech in the near future, but the Bavarian automaker added some concrete details to that strategy during the company's annual press conference. The business promises there are updated i models and more plug-in hybrids on the way, and a vehicle called the iNext could bring an autonomous EV to the road. Like the B5 Bi-Turbo revealed last month, the newest version of Alpina's B6 packs an upgraded 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 now good for 600 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque.
The result is a 0-62 time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 205 miles per hour, giving it similar acceleration to the M6 but a much higher top speed. Other enhancements include a sport suspension with adjustable dampers, a.

Guys, I just got the subject for my bike and am confused on mounting it to the seat (without the luggage rack). On the bottom of the bag are two straps that the seat is supposed to slip through.however the seat has a large hump 1 inch from the end that only allow these straps to barely hold the bag.

Mounting the bag this way it mostly sits over top of the grab rails and does not seem correct to me at all. The straps don't seem long enough to squeeze over this hump without some major force. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
I attached some pics to show how the bag will sit on the bike the the straps only retaining just the tip of the seat. The BMW instructions that came with the bag look pretty detailed in German but in English are very abbreviated.Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. I used the smallest size straps that came with the bag, and mounted it directly to the rack.

I think it says it hold something like 10 pounds, but I was over that, and had no issues. Uhhh, it slides off when you want to remove it. Only reason I showed it this way is because I wanted you to see the strap arrangement. Slides on and off.the hold down bolts are AHEAD of the straps? Rack bolted in place, slide on bag, use stock tie-down straps to hold it down. Then, unhook tie-down straps and slide if off. Rack stays bolted down.Wow thanks for going through all the trouble of removing the bracket for the thread, but I have the GT, and can't see anyway to slide it over the bracket.
I just clip it down and it seems pretty stable.
